THE ACTOR CAMERA COLLABORATIVE
Learning Tools include:
Intense Short Scenes – Dramatic Improvisation – All In-Class work on Camera for Artist & Mentor Review – Guidance & Critique From the Director’s Perspective
Surrendering to and in the moment requires humility and courage. For the moment is not always heroic, noble, or triumphant. It is often very sad, painful, and lonely. And sometimes, the moment is brief, mundane, and simple. Whatever its size, shape, or circumstance…the moment is our master.
Unlike the theater, the on-camera artist has no audience– no one to laugh, cry, or applaud, to satisfy our thirst for validation and approval.
Our audience comes into focus only after the moment has passed; on the street, at the bar or drugstore, “Hey…didn’t I just see you on TV?”
Until then, all we have is the moment. And our willingness to bear each moment’s burden and joy.
On camera, there is only the moment. The moment is our master. Respect, Serve, and Surrender.
